SHOWER TOILETS
High-quality and comfortable shower toilets
.The shower toilet: hygiene and comfort at the touch of a button
Shower toilets are the new trend in the bathroom and combine hygiene, comfort, sustainability and function. Let the 2-in-1 combination of toilet and bidet convince you and experience a unique feeling of freshness. Because nothing cleans as thoroughly as water.
Advantages of a shower toilets
Shower toilets stand out due to their conceptual difference compared to conventional toilets. As the intimate area is cleaned by a spray nozzle, toilet paper is no longer required. Shower toilets often offer many electrical setting options to customize the user experience and even create user profiles. However, there are also clear differences in terms of efficiency.
Hygiene
For many users, the most important function of the shower toilet is the discreetly integrated bidet function, which increases the comfort of intimate hygiene and thus enables ideal personal hygiene. The use of well-tempered water in an oscillating spray jet is pleasant and gives a particularly thorough feeling of cleanliness. The warm air dryer makes the use of paper superfluous, which is gentle on the sensitive skin in the intimate area. And last but not least, you save valuable resources with every use by saving on toilet paper.
The eco-balance of shower toilets
Statistically, every person in Germany needs just under 15 kilograms of toilet paper per year. As no toilet paper is required for a shower toilet, resource consumption can be massively reduced here. The production costs of 100 kilograms of toilet paper correspond to around a quarter of the annual electricity consumption of an average person in Germany. The positive effect of shower toilets on the environment and energy consumption should therefore not be neglected and should definitely be taken into account when making a purchase decision.
Shower toilet types
As shower toilets are technically more complex than conventional toilets, there are different toilet types and methods. Among other things, shower toilets can be divided into electric and mechanical shower toilets.
The electric shower toilet
You get the highest level of comfort with an electric shower toilet. Modern functions such as various spray functions, individual user profiles, LED lighting for the night and much more make using the toilet much more pleasant. An electric shower toilet is controlled and configured using a remote control and the controls attached to the toilet, for example.
The mechanical shower toilet
Mechanical shower toilets are known as Taharet toilets (also: Taharat), in which the bidet function is usually installed statically in the rim of the bowl. The cleaning result is similarly hygienic to that of an electric shower toilet, but in some cases there are significant compromises in terms of comfort. The biggest advantage of a Taharat toilet over an electric shower toilet is the lower price.
Shower toilets with rimless ceramics
A shower toilet with rimless ceramic not only looks good, but also improves hygiene. Without a rim, the ceramic is easier to clean, which means that bacteria and unsightly deposits have less of a foothold. A rimless shower toilet therefore minimizes the risk of infection from unwanted soiling.

This makes it easier to clean the floor and also creates an elegant look in your bathroom. Before installing a shower toilets, it is important to consider the connection. While shower toilets with an external tap require a concealed tap or a valve behind the tile in addition to the actual unit, shower toilets with an integrated tap already have all the necessary components built into the ceramic of the shower toilets. This means that only a cold water and electricity connection is required. The technical unit of a shower toilets with integrated tap works with the conventional 230-volt voltage.
