6.000 euros for TSV Wallenhorst

The symbolic cheque presentation took place on 15 June at the new facility itself. The donation was accepted by Mathias Owerrin, a member of the TSV Wallenhorst executive committee, along with Jürgen Czirpek and Thomas Burlage from the tennis and padel section. The cheque was presented by Managing Director Björn Schütte. 

The donation is linked to the open day that the company organised on 6 June to mark its 50th anniversary at its Wallenhorst site. Around 1.000 guests took the opportunity to get to know the company. More than 400 visitors took part in guided tours of the various departments. Around 2.500 euros were raised through the sale of food and drink. Franz Joseph Schütte GmbH subsequently topped this amount up to a total of 6.000 euros. 

“We were delighted by the fantastic response to our open day,” says Björn Schütte, Managing Director of Franz Joseph Schütte GmbH. “That’s why it was important to us that our anniversary celebrations should also result in something of lasting value for Wallenhorst. The new padel court enriches the range of sports and leisure activities in our community by introducing a modern sport that appeals to all age groups. We are delighted to be able to support this project.”

There is also great excitement at TSV Wallenhorst. “Padel is growing in popularity and appeals to people of all ages,” says Mathias Owerrin. “The donation will help us to further develop this new facility and encourage even more people to get active and enjoy a sense of community. We are very grateful to Schütte for this.” 

The new padel court was officially opened a few days ago and will be available to anyone interested from 22 June. It can be used even without a club membership. Further information on bookings and memberships is available at www.tennis-wallenhorst.org.
